I’m back! + Spring Bucket List’15

I’m back on! Yay! I’m officially free (for a few days) now, and to celebrate, I went to the local amusement park with a few of my friends, & I ended up getting injured. And no, it wasn’t because I fell off a ride & lived to tell the tale or something epic like that. Not at all.

You see, the park was surprisingly not crowded at all, & you know how they build snake-like railings at the entrance of each ride to control the super-long waiting lines? Yeah, so due to the lack of people there were no waiting lines, so we started climbing over the railings because we’re too impatient to actually walk like humans, & my shoe got stuck. And I don’t think I need to say what happened next. So here I am, sitting with a sprained leg, & typing this blog post XD

Anyways, this freedom also means…..a spring bucket list.

Yep, I’m not kidding. I’m going to do most of these things at my grandpa’s house, as I’m going to stay there for about a week.

My Spring Bucket List’15

  1. Walk barefoot on grass.
  2. Bake something.
  3. Climb a tree. (Je suis un singe!)
  4. Watch movies all day.
  5. Paint something with pastel colours.
  6. Floral mani & pedi.
  7. Play in the rain.
  8. Grow some bell peppers.
  9. Make a sketching time lapse video.
  10. Finalize Summer Bucket List’15.
  11. Pastel themed scrapbook page.
  12. Complete remaining scrapbook pages.
  13. Make some knuckle rings.
  14. Sew something.
  15. Make it all the way across the monkey bars.
  16. Write a short story.
  17. Update my Life Bucket List.

I’ll update about the progress in a week, I guess.

Getting excited for the new year ahead,

Question – Have you made any new years’ resolutions yet?

It’s finally autumn here! + Updates on Autumn B.L.

Okay, now see- 1) That camp got postponed. It’s in December now. 2)I made the notes to leave in the books, but I chickened out at the bookstore at the last moment. One of the employees was watching me suspiciously. 3) I’m currently in the midst of decorating my room. I posted a pic on Instagram, if you want to check it out. It’s a DIY’d poster (My username is briareden allthatrandomosity). 4)My autumn break ended last week & I have been really busy with school for the past 8 days. In my autumn break, I, despite being burdened with my birthday and cleaning & organizing my room, managed to complete a few tasks.

#16. Make some apple cinnamon rings.

Oh. My. God. They were so delicious. If you haven’t tried this recipe, then you haven’t lived.

After being fried.

Yum yum

#1. Make an autumn playlist.

Not many songs, but yeah-

  • Fireproof -1D
  • Steal My Girl -1D
  • Caffeine – Toni & Ash
  • Vanilla Twilight (Instrumental Remix)
  • Shake it Off – Taylor Swift
  • 212 – Azealia Banks
  • Good Girls are Bad Girls – 5SOS
  • Love is an Open Door – Frozen
  • Make You Believe – Lucy Hale
  • Run This Town – Lucy Hale
  • Salute vs. Bo$$ (Mashup) – earlvin14
  • Vanilla Twilight – Owl City

  • Bop to the Top – HSM
  • My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark- Fall OWut Boy
  • What I’ve Been Looking For – HSM
  • Breaking Free- HSM
  • Problem – Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea
  • Out of the Woods – Taylor Swift

#20. Cuddle up with a book & coffee.

Yeahhhh…nothing to write, really.

#26. Go to a fair.

I did this twice – two different fairs. I bought the mugs for NaNo at one of them. Other things in What I Did-

1) I ate pasta.

2)I had some ice cream.

#30. Go book shopping.

I bought a bunch of books from different shops-

  • Paper Towns
  • Looking for Alaska
  • Threads
  • Bloomability
  • How to Get From Where You Are to Where Want to Be
  • The Maze Runner
  • Shopaholic Abroad
  •  The Lost World
  • Goosebumps (I don’t remember the name! 😦 )

#32. Make a Book Bucket List.

About 1/4 of these books are books that I already own, or have read halfway through. The rest of them are those that I can’t manage to find ANYWHERE.

#33.Make a Movie Bucket List.

I have just one thing to say – it’s pretty long.

Sorry about the boring post,

Autumn Collage

Autumn collage

Why do I make a picture collage for everything?

I do not own the images. They are all from We Heart It. But I do take credit for making the collage.

I am SO excited for autumn! (Yea it’s still stifling hot here.)

But right now, I should probably just go & study. Blechhhhh.

Remaining bucket list items

I ended up completing some of the remaining tasks in the first two weeks of July, then I got busy with stuff, hence the (extremely) delayed post.

22.Set a dandelion on fire.

I got the idea for this from here- http://www.pinterest.com/pin/477311260479240714/

Or maybe it wasn’t a dandelion. The latter is more probable.

It’s all blurry

After burning

15.Pick an official summer anthem.

Tough one, so I ended up picking 2-

1)Pursuit of Happiness – Kid Cudi

2)Don’t Stop – 5SOS

6.Make a time capsule.

Inside are ticket stubs, a coin, the letter to myself (task 3 on my life bucket list) & some more stuff.

1.Get a tan tattoo.

I don’t have a picture 😦 It faded too quickly. Urgh. It was a tiny heart on my left arm, but the outline wasn’t very clear.

31.Try to finish Mario Forever.

I’m so sorry, Mario. I got you killed too many times.

Blanket fort, scrapbook, & too many pictures

I can’t even believe that I’m actually following a to-do task list. Usually I just make task lists & forget about them. Achievement! *pat on back* *round of applause*

Right now I’m listening to Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen‘s theme song on repeat. One of the best movies. Ever.

That wasn’t even relevant. Anyways, I completed 4 more tasks, & I hope you won’t get bored while reading this post because it’s sort of blah.

27. Take lots of pictures.

I have taken over 500. That is a lot for someone like me i.e. someone who’s usually too lazy to press the capture button.

17. Make a scrapbook.

Doing this was way more fun than expected.

Lotsa pics!

I tried making a Lilly Pulitzer print…

First page

29. Build a blanket fort.

1. I made a blanket fort.

2. I took a picture of it.

3. I lay down in it.

4. The blankets fell on my face 5 minutes later. Great.

Snug as a bug in a rug drinking tea out of a mug.

18. Play with chalk.

It’s so obviously not a sidewalk.

Until next time,

P.S. As this post is the 5th post of this summer, Task 20 – 5 blog posts is also completed. Yay!

Pizzas & fried Oreos (& more).

In the last two weeks, I did a few more tasks. Plus, I attempted the Harry Potter Marathon last Saturday, & failed miserably. I managed to make it to Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban. I guess I’ll try again sometime.

And the tan tattoo is in progress. I’m pretty happy with the way my tan looks right now, but the tattoo isn’t really visible, because when I went to the pool a few weeks ago, I forgot about the tan tattoo & accidentally tanned on the patch that shouldn’t get tanned. Hence, I need to tan a bit more.

#30. Make a Brownie in a Mug.

I ended up doing this task at 3 in the morning with Pancake Monarch, because we were not sleepy at all & we were like really, really bored. Luckily for us, nobody woke up because of the beeping microwave & the clattering caused by our clumsiness. Phew. The brownies were really delicious, especially paired with the ice cream.

#12. Make a dream catcher.

I don’t really know what to write for this. But here it is.

#26. Doodle on self.

I did this task twice, & I’m not really sure which one I’ll count. Attempt One was basically fake henna with a brown felt pen. Attempt two was mindless doodling, in which none of the doodles can be made out to be what they were originally supposed to be. But it was fun, so who cares?

I don’t even know.

#35. Make pizza from scratch.

Okay, be warned, if you’re ever going to attempt making pizza dough, be prepared for the terrible smell caused by the yeast. It was pretty unbearable. And while trying to knead the dough, my fingers got stuck in it. But the end product was beyond delicious – way better than any other pizzas I’ve tasted.

The dough (with 3 bananas photo bombing).

#32. Try fried Oreos.

I read the tutorial for this on WikiHow. It said that the Oreos should be chilled for 4 hours. I left them in the refrigerator for about 7 hours. And I added cocoa powder to the pancake batter, which made it all the more better, I think (better batter, better batter, better batter….it can be a tongue twister!).

The fried Oreos were really good, but, I’d rather just eat oreos & pancakes together, because I’m lazy yo.

3 more tasks done from the Summer Bucket List

In the past week, I did 3 more items from my summer bucket list, two of them with my cousin AKA The Pancake Monarch (because she likes pancakes).

#21. Make a luxe headband.

I found this tutorial on Pinterest on how to make a luxe headband. Here it is-

Le tutorial

Painting the feathers was a nightmare. It isn’t as easy as it looks.

Da fedursss

The effort & the stained fingers were totally worth it though.

End product.

The final product.

I only used about 9 or 10 feathers at the most. I have no idea what I’ll do with the remaining 40 or something.

#19. Make pink lemonade.

I did this task with The Pancake Monarch. We grabbed a large bowl, lemon juice, sugar & water & I started making the lemonade while Pancake Monarch searched for the red food colouring (we didn’t have any pink food colouring). I was talking to her while absentmindedly pouring the lemon juice in the bowl. I didn’t realize that I had poured in the equivalent of about 11 lemons (I was supposed to pour in of about 3 or 4). I poured in the water without looking at how much juice I’d poured in, while Pancake Monarch finally found the food colouring. She put in 4 tablespoons of sugar in the bowl while I added the food colouring.

When we tasted it, well, you can imagine our faces. Pancake Monarch added lots of sugar- so much that we had to add more lemon juice after that.

Our magnifique lemonades

#23. Pull an all nighter.

The Pancake Monarch & I did this task the same day we made the lemonade. Although Pancake Monarch fell asleep at around 3 am, I managed to stay awake till sunrise. All we did was eat cake, drink Coke, click cringe-worthy pics, & play UNO. After Pancake Monarch fell asleep, I listened to my still-under-construction summer playlist, watched 82DaysOfSummerDaze’s videos on YouTube (their blog posts/vlogs are awesome- I really don’t know how I didn’t know about their blog last summer), browsed Pinterest & painted my nails. After seeing the sunrise, I pretty much immediately fell asleep.
